New York Sun Works is bringing the Science Barge program to the Manhattan waterfront in May 2007. A flat deck barge 130 feet in length, the Science Barge supports projects related to sustainability in the Hudson River estuary and New York City. The barge will visit several public parks around Manhattan for stays of six to ten weeks each, beginning in the spring of 2007, welcoming students and the general public for tours and education programs.
